As I set this page up, I am sitting in a park staring out at the Assinaboine river. It's a bit windy, but otherwise pleasant. I'm getting site design help from a ladybug walking across my screen. I've somewhat cheated in my site photo since I featured them instead but I'm there in the laptop's reflection. Don't worry. While I was writing this, I was listening to:

As I update this page, I'm sitting in li's apartment. As you can see from the picture, I'm a bit sunburned. Oops! We were listening to the I Saw the TV Glow soundtrack as we made our pages. I actually just came here to fix the TODO list (I have done a little work but haven't released those changes yet), we'll see how I format this by the time I'm editing this next.

beocijies fixes/feature requests

• The renderer probably shouldn't crash if a page fails to render. also it should notify you when it crashes
• I should be able to tag myself on the main site with bcj@beocijies
• Idea: shared assets directory?
• Convenience function for embedding bandcamp players
• Sitewide css? (user could opt out/override on their page )
• CLI should have a convenience function for adding an image update
• When doing test rendering, I should inject some JS to auto-refresh (li's idea [implied])

As I write this page, I'm sitting in Winnipeg's best coffee shop, MAKE, with some soft jazz playing and the sound of cars driving by (quiet enough to be almost soothing). It's actually looking a little out of sorts today. The coffee shopped is run by an architecture prof and the walls usually are covered in his student's projects. It seems this is the week he's taken down all the old projects but the new projects aren't up yet.

I'm a little out of sorts too. I had actually planned to work on some updates to the beocijies project itself while I was here (literally nothing I mentioned in the previous post on this page), but I was making those changes on another computer and forgot to copy them over before I left. Instead, I'm updating the formatting for this page so that each update will be its own entry in the Atom/RSS feed. Did I remember how h-entry formatting is supposed to look? I'll put a big update saying no here if I screw it up. update: no (kind of. I decided to only have beocijies recognize a subset so I removed some stuff it isn't using for feeds and also added a summary for this entry).

While I'm here, I might as well add some styling to the page as well. I've decided I'm only going to test this against (Firefox's emulation) of my tiny phone screen. If this looks bad on desktop, check it out on mobile.
